Here’s your Rio 2016 Goalball highlights update! Go Canada Go!<\/h4>\n

Day 4 saw Canadian men lost a tough game to Algeria 17-13 and the women to China 8-3. On Day 5, the Canadian men played with heart but lost 7-3 against Sweden, while the women shut out Australia 6 to 0.<\/p>\n

Goalball quarterfinals get underway today, with Canada’s men taking on Lithuania at 6pm. At 7:30pm, the Canadian women challenge our U.S.A. neighbours! Canadian\u00a0Canadian Paralympic Team<\/a>\u00a0Canadian Blind Sports\/Sports Aveugles Canada<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Team Canada Men’s Team played an exceptional game against Goalball powerhouse Lithuania.
\nThe team lead 2-1 at half-time, and were tied 4-4 at full-time. The two teams remained tied through 1 overtime period.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n

Unfortunately, the team could not withstand the onslaught, succumbing 5-4 at 1:35 of the second overtime.<\/p>\n

As an organization, we are extremely proud of these 6 young men.\u00a0Tokyo here we come!<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the Rio 2016 Paralympics are over for Canadian Goalball. The women played a hard-fought defensive battle against the US, losing 2-0 on two goals by Jen Armbruster.<\/p>\n

The six women Played exceptional, but could not find a hole in the tight US Defence!<\/p>\n
